Job Description

Branch supervision refers to the oversight of the day-to-day operations and staff of a company's local branch, such as a retail bank, credit union, or sales office

. It is a management function that ensures the branch is run efficiently, meets its financial targets, and provides high-quality customer service while adhering to all company policies and regulatory requirements. 

  Key responsibilities of a branch supervisor  

Staff management and development

 

  • Hiring and training:

    Onboarding and training new employees to ensure they are proficient in their roles and understand company procedures.

  • Performance management:

    Setting performance goals, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance appraisals.

  • Scheduling and workflow:

    Supervising staff work assignments to ensure smooth daily operations and adequate coverage during peak hours.

  • Coaching and motivation:

    Guiding and motivating staff to improve performance and create a positive, productive work environment
