Job Description

Job Summary

The BOM Executive is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for modular furniture projects. This role ensures all materials, hardware, accessories, and components are correctly listed as per design drawings, enabling smooth production, procurement, and installation.

Key Responsibilities1. BOM Preparation & Management

· Prepare detailed BOM for modular kitchen, wardrobe, and furniture designs.

· Extract product details from AutoCAD, 3D drawings, Cutlist, and production drawings.

· Ensure accurate entries of materials, sizes, finishes, hardware, and accessories.

· Maintain BOM versions and update changes as per revised drawings.

2. Coordination with Relevant Teams

· Work closely with the Design Team to understand project specifications.

· Coordinate with the Production Team to resolve material or fabrication queries.

· Share BOM with Procurement/Purchase Team for material planning.

· Support Quality & Installation Team with BOM-related clarifications.

3. Data Accuracy & Documentation

· Create and update BOM in ERP/Excel based on project requirements.

· Maintain master data for board materials, edge banding, hardware, and fittings.

· Validate BOM data to avoid material shortages or excess during production.

· Track product codes, SKUs, and item-wise specifications.

4. Costing & Material Optimization

· Assist in calculating material consumption and cost estimation.

· Identify material optimization opportunities to reduce wastage.

· Verify supplier specifications with BOM (like Hettich, Hafele, Ebco hardware).

5. Material Planning Support

· Share material requirement sheets for procurement.

· Track BOM-based material requirements vs. availability in store.

· Update purchase team with changes in material specifications.

Required Skills

· Good knowledge of Modular Furniture materials: MDF, HDF, Particle Board, Plywood, Laminates, Edge Banding, Acrylic, PU, Veneer.

· Understanding of hardware fittings: Hinges, Channels, Wardrobe systems, Handles, Sliding systems.

· Ability to read AutoCAD drawings, 3D layouts, Cutlists, exploded diagrams.

· Strong skills in MS Excel / Google Sheets .

· Attention to detail and accuracy.

· Basic understanding of production workflow in modular furniture manufacturing.

Education & Experience

· Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Interior Design, or related field (preferred).

· 1–3 years of experience in modular furniture or interior manufacturing industry.

· Freshers with good knowledge of CAD and materials can also apply (optional line).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
