BIW Design Engineer

HCL Tech Hiring Catia (BIW Design Engineer) for the Bangalore Location

Position: Automotive BIW Design Engineer

Experience band: 4 to 7 years

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive BIW components using CAD software, primarily

  CATIA V5/V6

  .

• Work experience in any of the components like upper body, under body, roof, sides and doors.

• Ensure that design meets regulatory standards and safety requirements.
• Creation and management of product data structure in PLM and ensure BOM quality.
• Support project delivery related to engineering and design from kick off to implementation.
• (Including QFD, benchmarking, feature analysis, engineering drawing preparation for release, CAE and physical validation support, development and implementation support.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering design & development.
• Experience in automotive field is a plus.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly CATIA V5/V6.
• Strong understanding of automotive design standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PLM systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards in automotive design.
