BIM Lead MEP

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Manager to lead and oversee the creation,

coordination, and management of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Revit models for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in MEP systems, expertise in Revit software, and proven experience in managing a team of modelers to ensure accurate, high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Model Creation and Management

• Oversee the creation and management of detailed MEP Revit models throughout all project

phases.

• Ensure models are accurate, compliant with project specifications,

• Coordinate with client teams to incorporate changes and updates into models efficiently.

2. Team Leadership and Coordination

• Manage and mentor a team of Revit modelers, ensuring adherence to best practices and

project requirements.

• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and review deliverables to maintain quality and consistency.

• Collaborate with clients to resolve modeling and design conflicts.

3. Model Coordination and Clash Detection

• Perform clash detection and resolve issues between MEP systems and other building

components using tools like Navisworks.

• Facilitate coordination meetings to review and address model conflicts.

• Ensure seamless integration of MEP models with architectural and structural designs.

4. Quality Assurance and Standards Compliance

• Implement and enforce Revit modeling standards, templates, and workflows across projects.

• Maintain consistency in model setup, naming conventions, and documentation.

5. Process Improvement and Innovation

• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and processes for increased efficiency.

• Stay updated on the latest Revit and BIM technologies, implementing innovative practices

where applicable.

6. Documentation and Deliverables

• Ensure all Revit models are accompanied by accurate and detailed documentation, including

shop drawings, schedules, and as-built models.

• Oversee the preparation of construction documents and specifications derived from Revit

models.

• Provide timely and high-quality deliverables to meet project milestones.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.

• Minimum of [7] years of experience in MEP Revit modeling, including team management.

• Proven experience in delivering complex projects with advanced MEP modeling

requirements.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Autodesk Revit MEP, including family creation, template setup, and advanced

modeling techniques.

• Proficiency in clash detection tools like Navisworks or BIM 360.

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and their integration with building designs.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Autodesk Revit Professional Certification.

• LEED Accreditation or knowledge of sustainable building practices.

• Certification in BIM management or project coordination
