Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Billing Engineer Location: Chennai Experience: 3 - 8 years preferred Industry: Landscape, Swimming Pools, Wellness (Steam, Sauna), Irrigation, Hardscape/Softscape Works Employment Type: Full-time --- Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Billing Engineer with vendor-side experience to handle all aspects of project billing and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and certifying RA bills, reconciling client and vendor accounts, site measurements, BOQ understanding, and contract compliance, especially in specialized contracting fields like swimming pools, landscaping, and wellness areas. --- Key Responsibilities: Preparation and submission of client RA bills, subcontractor/vendor bills, and final bills. Collect and verify site measurements from project teams. Reconcile quantities, rates, and payments with clients and vendors. Review and validate BOQs, drawings, and work orders for billing accuracy. Ensure timely follow-up on bill certification, payment releases, and retention. Maintain detailed records of executed quantities, variation orders, and deviations. Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and accounts departments for smooth operations. Manage client-side reconciliations, including certified vs. claimed quantities, advances, and material reconciliation. Prepare billing status reports, reconciliation statements, and project cost tracking updates. Understand contract terms, payment milestones, and escalation clauses. --- Requirements: Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. Minimum 3 years of experience on the contractor/vendor side in QS and billing roles. Strong command of MS Excel, AutoCAD, and basic billing tools. Good understanding of project execution workflow, contract documents, and technical drawings. Experience with specialty projects like pools, landscaping, and wellness works is a strong plus. Attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills. Ability to handle multiple sites and work with cross-functional teams. --- Salary: As per industry standards (commensurate with experience) Work Hours: 9:30 AM 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday Location: Chennai
