Billing Manager

As a Health Care Billing Manager at our company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the medical billing operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing the daily operations of the healthcare billing department. - Ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims to insurance providers. - Monitoring and managing accounts receivable and collections. - Supervising billing team members, assigning tasks, and ensuring targets are met. - Analyzing billing and coding trends; identifying and correcting recurring errors. - Implementing billing policies and procedures to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials. - Coordinating with physicians, coders, and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies. - Preparing regular financial and operational reports for senior management. - Handling escalations and providing training to staff as needed. - Staying updated with changes in billing regulations, coding systems (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance guidelines. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare/medical billing. - At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. - Strong knowledge of insurance claims processing, denials, and appeals. - Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and HIPAA regulations. - Proficiency in billing software and MS Office (especially Excel). - Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications: - Certification in Medical Billing (e.g., CMRS, CPB). - Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Medisoft. - Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing.
