Lead and manage the billing and quantity surveying department from the office. Prepare and verify client & subcontractor bills for multiple running sites. Work closely with project managers and site engineers to ensure timely and accurate billing. Review construction drawings and extract quantities and measurements. Prepare and check Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) as per structural drawings. Perform Quantity Take-Offs (QTO) using AutoCAD and Excel tools. Analyze project budgets and track quantities consumed and billed. Maintain systematic billing documentation and records. Ensure compliance with contract specifications and billing timelines. Key Requirements: Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering. 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in billing, quantity surveying, and BBS. Proficient in Microsoft Excel , with strong spreadsheet and data-handling skills. Ability to read and interpret structural & architectural drawings . Skilled in AutoCAD for measurement and take-off work. Strong understanding of quantity surveying techniques and civil construction practices. Experience with government or private sector projects (preferred). Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple teams.
Role & responsibilities Manage day-to-day activities at the construction site. Ensure timely execution of project work as per approved schedules and drawings. Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, government authorities, and internal teams. Manage labor and workforce at the site, including productivity and allocation. Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications in civil works. Prepare and monitor project planning, scheduling, and execution strategies. Handle project billing, measurement verification, and documentation. Manage project P&L including budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking. Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to management. Ensure compliance with safety norms, statutory requirements, and company policies. Resolve technical and on-site issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders. Lead internal and external project review meetings Preferred candidate profile Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering (preferred). Minimum 7–10 years of experience in civil construction projects. Experience handling medium-scale projects ranging between INR 3 crore to 12 crore. Proven experience in site execution, planning, billing, and project financial management. Strong leadership skills for managing site teams and stakeholders. Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with responsibility and accountability. Willingness to travel or stay at project sites when required.
