Billing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Measurement & Estimation:
• Take site measurements of electrical work executed as per drawings and specifications.
• Prepare quantity take-offs from GFC drawings for billing purposes.
• Billing & Documentation:
• Prepare client and subcontractor bills as per contract terms (RA Bills, Final Bills).
• Prepare and verify subcontractor running bills and final bills.
• Maintain records of all billing-related documents and correspondence.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Liaise with the accounts department for bill certification and payment processing.
• Compliance & Quality:
• Ensure all bills are prepared in compliance with contractual clauses and statutory requirements.
• Reconcile quantities and values with contractors’ and consultants’ reports.
• Attend site audits as required and provide supporting documents.
• Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain billing status reports.
• Update billing trackers and highlight variances if any.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in electrical billing in construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, BOQs, and contractual billing terms.
