Billing Cashier

**Job Title:** Billing Cashier **Department:** Finance / Accounts / Front Office **Reports To:** Billing Supervisor / Finance Manager The Billing Cashier is responsible for accurately processing billing transactions, collecting payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining proper cash records. The role ensures smooth and transparent financial transactions while maintaining excellent customer service standards. ### **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Billing & Payment Collection**   * Generate bills for services rendered.   * Collect cash, card, UPI, cheque, or other forms of payment.   * Issue receipts to customers/patients. 2. **Cash Handling & Documentation**   * Maintain accurate daily cash records.   * Prepare daily cash summary and submit to the accounts department.   * Ensure proper reconciliation of cash and billing reports at shift end. 3. **Customer Service**   * Politely handle payment-related queries from customers/patients.   * Guide customers about billing procedures and payment options.   * Resolve discrepancies in bills promptly. 4. **Compliance & Accuracy**   * Ensure all transactions comply with organizational policies.   * Maintain confidentiality of patient/customer financial information.   * Follow cash handling SOPs to prevent discrepancies. 5. **Coordination**   * Coordinate with departments for billing clarifications.   * Work closely with finance/accounts team for reporting. --- ### **Qualifications & Skills** * **Education:** Degree/Diploma in Commerce or Accounting preferred. * **Experience:** 1–2 years in billing, cashier, or accounts role (hospital/retail preferred). * **Skills:**  * Strong numerical and calculation ability.  * Good communication and interpersonal skills.  * Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, billing software).  * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Requires standing for long periods while handling billing counters.
