Job Description

As a Benefits Manager for APJ with a focus on India at BlackLine, you will be the primary contact for benefits-related matters in the APJ region, specifically managing and administering group benefit programs in India. Your role will involve coordinating and executing administrative tasks independently at a high level, collaborating closely with the Corporate Benefits team to ensure alignment with global policies while addressing regional and India-specific needs. This includes handling employee inquiries, onboarding, terminations, vendor coordination, invoicing, and special projects to enhance the benefits experience for employees across APJ. While this role does not involve managing direct reports, it requires strong organizational skills, autonomy, and collaboration. Reporting to the Director of Global Benefits, you will work on a hybrid schedule with 2 days a week in the Bangalore Office. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day administration of group benefit programs across APJ countries, acting as the main point of contact for benefits-related inquiries from employees in India and APJ, and supporting benefits needs throughout the employee lifecycle. Additionally, you will assist in annual renewals, collaborate with HR and benefit managers, liaise with brokers and vendors, draft benefit policies, stay updated on local benefit trends and regulations, and contribute to process improvements to support BlackLine's Corporate Benefits strategy. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with 10-13 years of total experience and 5-7 years of experience in benefits management. Strong knowledge of benefit regulations in India and APJ, exceptional organizational and communication skills, the ability to identify and solve problems, and experience in driving operational efficiency through technology are essential. Moreover, a self-managed and self-starting approach, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and engage effectively with stakeholders, are key attributes for this position.
