Job Description

The Barista is responsible for the efficient and professional service of food and beverages while ensuring that guests receive optimal service in accordance with the standards, policies, and procedures of the hotel and Hilton.

What will I be doing

As the Barista, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Customer Service Excellence

    : Maintain a high customer service focus by always keeping the customer in mind. Take personal responsibility and initiative to resolve any issues promptly and communicate clearly with both guests and colleagues.
  • Operational Enhancement

    : Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve operational and environmental procedures within the hotel.
  • Promote Hilton's Offerings

    : Actively promote the services and facilities of Hilton hotels to guests and suppliers.
  • Safety and Cleanliness

    : Perform all duties in a manner that ensures your safety and that of others in the workplace. Ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained according to operating procedures.
  • Menu Knowledge

    : Confidently know the food and beverage menu contents, explain them to guests in detail, and understand dietary requirements to offer suitable suggestions. Complete checklists on product knowledge.
  • Guest Interaction

    : Greet guests with a smile, assist with coats and bags, and escort them to their tables. Be attentive to their needs and follow up on any questions or concerns promptly. If unable to answer, refer to the Manager.
  • Recommendation

    : Make menu suggestions based on guest preferences and different nationalities. Familiarize yourself with menu items from other outlets and recommend them to guests. Suggest other restaurants and city attractions when appropriate.
  • Service Standards

    : Ensure that all service procedures are carried out to the required standards. Take personal responsibility for the service experience in your designated area.
  • Professional Conduct

    : Display professionalism at all times. Avoid impolite or offensive language and report any accidents or incidents to the Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager.
  • Team Support

    : Smile and greet all guests as they enter and exit the restaurant, even if they are not in your section. Provide service to guests in other sections when needed.
