As a Coffee Shop Assistant, your role involves greeting customers and taking orders in a friendly and efficient manner. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos. Operating coffee machines and other equipment according to recipes and presentation standards is a key part of your daily tasks. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness of the workstation, equipment, and seating areas and handling customer complaints or questions professionally are important aspects of this role. You will also be managing inventory, restocking supplies, supporting the team in opening and closing duties, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities: - Greet customers and take orders in a friendly, efficient manner - Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages - Operate coffee machines and other equipment - Follow recipes and presentation standards - Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, equipment, and seating areas - Handle customer complaints or questions professionally - Manage inventory and restock supplies - Support the team in opening and closing duties - Comply with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards Key Skills & Qualities: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Attention to detail, especially with drink preparation - Ability to multitask and work under pressure - Friendly and customer-focused attitude - Basic math skills for handling cash and measurements - Time management and reliability - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team In addition to the job responsibilities and required skills, the job types for this position are full-time, permanent, and open to fresher candidates.
