Backup Architect | Pune | Immediate Joiner

The IT Backup Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the backup and data protection strategies within an organization. This role focuses on creating comprehensive backup solutions that ensure the availability, integrity, and security of business-critical data. The IT Backup Architect will design both on-premise and cloud-based backup solutions, implement disaster recovery plans, and continuously optimize backup systems for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with IT infrastructure teams, storage administrators, and security teams to ensure that backup solutions meet organizational needs and compliance standards.

• Strong knowledge of backup technologies, storage systems, and data protection methodologies (e.g., incremental, differential, full backups).
• Experience with cloud backup solutions and hybrid backup environments (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Backup).
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and the backup challenges associated with virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of data security and encryption standards, as well as compliance regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to backup and recovery issues.
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to automate backup tasks and processes.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in backup and disaster recovery, with a strong focus on enterprise backup solutions.
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing backup infrastructures, including cloud-based, virtual, and on-premises solutions.
• In-depth experience with backup and data protection software (e.g., Veeam, Veritas, Commvault, NetBackup, etc.).
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation, including conducting DR tests and validating recovery procedures.
