As a Backup Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining your organization's data backup and recovery systems. Your primary focus will be on safeguarding against data loss caused by disasters, hardware failures, or cyberattacks. Your key duties will include implementing effective backup strategies, monitoring backup jobs, troubleshooting any issues that arise, performing regular data restoration and disaster recovery tests, and ensuring data integrity while adhering to regulatory compliance standards. Your role is pivotal for ensuring business continuity, and you will utilize a variety of software and hardware tools such as Veeam or Commvault. It will also be essential for you to maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations and procedures.
