We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL development, database management, and a deep understanding of data structures and optimization techniques. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and applications. Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis. Optimize SQL queries for performance improvements. Collaborate with application developers to integrate SQL databases with applications. Ensure data integrity and security in SQL databases. Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues. Perform database backups and recovery as needed. Skills and Qualifications 10-15 years of experience in SQL development and database management. Proficient in SQL and experience with various database systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle). Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization. Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries. Familiarity with database backup and recovery techniques. Ability to write efficient and effective stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes. Experience with version control systems and collaborative development tools.

Coordinating, analyzing, designing, implementing and administering solutions. Recommending best practices for improvements to current operational processes. Configuring and maintaining SQL Server database servers. Troubleshooting operational problems. Administering proactive daily checks. Responding to monitoring alerts. Communicating status and planning activities to customers and other team members. Participating in the teams rotational shift pattern and on-call coverage rotation plan. What do we need from you 3 years or more of experience as a SQL Server DBA Installing, configuring and upgrading SQL Server databases. SQL Server Administration including: Managing Server and Database storage. Performance tuning of database server. Designing and implementing various backup/recovery strategies. SSRS & Power BI, SSIS, and BI experience. Coding scripts, procedures, functions, etc.

What you will be doing: You'll work closely with the customer teams to understand their needs, in both a project based and long term support capacity. You'll create and document database standards, create optimized queries, indexes, and data structure. Monitor and support database environments and serve as an escalation point for complex troubleshooting and interactive production support. Use database vendor provided tools and Pythian developed accelerators to performance tune various database systems, specific queries and applications scenarios. Diagnose and address database performance issues using performance monitors and various tuning techniques. Identify areas of opportunity and recommend appropriate improvement suggestions. Work with our site reliability engineering organization to help configure and deploy high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical applications to meet customers needs. Cross-functional training in Mongo, Ansible and Python are encouraged. When you're not fixing things, you'll be authoring new blog posts on interesting topics for our open-source community to digest, creating new articles in our customer facing knowledge base for more frequently seen issues, and hosting webinars amongst other things like participating in conferences and meetups promoting Pythian to the open source community. What we need from you: 5-8 years of overall experience required as a Database Consultant (DBC) for this role The position requires specialized knowledge and experience in installing, configuring and upgrading MySQL databases MySQL Administration. Debugging skills, MongoDB and Scripting/automation tooling experience is a huge plus. Strong ability to work in both a team oriented environment and also under minimal supervision. Strong ability to adapt and to learn quickly. Good customer service focus with the ability to handle customer expectations and priorities. Disciplined in their learning process. Self-motivated. Keen attention to detail. Good analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Effective organizational skills. Demonstrate sound work ethics. Very good documentation skills. Nice to have - Understanding of current IT service standards such as ITIL. Scripting (bash/python) and Ansible experience is a huge plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Contributor to Open Source projects relevant to MySQL, MongoDB or other database or infrastructure software.

SOC coordination for security related alerts and remediation. Email server administration (Microsoft 365 Exchange online, Zimbra) Coordinating with Remote Infrastructure Management System / Managed Service Provider partners. Storage devices management (NAS, FTP, SFTP, etc) Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) administration, XAMPP, Apache IT Asset management and Stock maintaining. Oversees the required need of hardware and software license and support agreements. Manages all required documentation, as well as reporting and provides delivery according to standards. Assist in providing resolution management to all users technical issues. Monitor and maintain in Windows server (DNS, DHCP, AD) and client administration AD User Management, Antivirus management, Access control management and Desktop level support management LAN/WAN administration Installation, configuration and administration for windows client operating systems. Ensure backup activity and define backup strategies includes application level and database level Develop innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs Responsible for creating and administering disaster plans (DR) that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis. Ensuring RPO/RTO for On Prem and Cloud Applications Determine the rationale and methods for upgrading company network software programs each time an update is released VMWare administration.
