Mid Senior Backend Engineer (SDE-2) with a 50% focus on Python and 50% on Node.js

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Own backend development

  , focusing on

  Node.js (Express and Nest) and Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask)

• Architect & design scalable, high-performance APIs

  that drive AI-powered automation solutions.

• Make independent decisions on system architecture, performance optimisation, and scalability.

• Ensure system reliability and efficiency

  by optimising

  database queries (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

  and managing distributed systems.

• Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure

  using

  AWS, GCP, or Azure

  , ensuring best security and cost-efficiency practices.

• Foster collaboration

  with cross-functional teams (AI, frontend, product) to align backend solutions with business goals.

• Drive fast-paced development with minimal guidance,

  ensuring impactful results are delivered in the

  earliest stages

  of your role.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 2.5 to 3 years of experience in backend development

  within a

  scaled startup environment

  .

• Expertise in Node.js (50%)

    and

  Python (50%)

  with hands-on experience building

  scalable APIs

  .

• Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

  with proven ability to

  write and optimise complex queries

  .

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  for scalable deployments.

• Solid understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed systems

  .

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  —able to articulate technical concepts and collaborate with teams.

• Self-motivated and proactive thinker

  —someone who takes ownership instead of waiting for direction.

• Ability to deliver high-impact solutions within 15 days of joining.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with

  Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ

  for caching and messaging.
• Prior experience working on

  AI-driven applications or AdTech platforms
