Backend Developer - Python/FastAPI

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI (or Flask/Django).
• Implement and document APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Utilize ORMs like SQLAlchemy/Alembic for schema and data management.
• Integrate caching and task queues using Redis and Celery.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain applications on AWS (Lambda, RDS, S3, Cognito, etc.) or Azure (Blob Storage, AD, Functions, RBAC).
• Implement OAuth2/JWT/SSO-based authentication and RBAC authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate on CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Containerize and deploy services with Docker (Kubernetes or RunPod exposure is a plus).
  

Experience & Skills

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Python (3.x).
• Proficiency with FastAPI, and familiarity with Flask or Django.
• Strong understanding of API design, database schema design, and query optimization.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud ecosystems.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerization.
• Familiarity with modern security and authentication standards.
