Job Description: Backend Developer

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our tech team at Ontrack Technologies. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable backend solutions using a tech stack that includes Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, MySQL, Docker, AWS S3, and various authentication and authorization methods. You will also handle integrations with third-party services to enhance our platform's functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

● Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance

● Contributing to all phases of the backend development lifecycle

● Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient backend code

● Implementing security and data protection measures

● Developing and maintaining APIs for front-end and mobile applications

● Managing and optimizing data storage solutions

● Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of backend applications

● Staying up-to-date with emerging backend technologies and industry trends

● Troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and improving backend application performance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

● Proficiency with Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js

● Strong experience with database technologies such as MongoDB and MySQL

● Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker

● Familiarity with cloud services, specifically AWS S3, and other AWS services

● Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth)

● Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services

● Familiarity with version control using Git and code repositories on GitHub

● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

● Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

● Relevant certifications
