Job Description

Backend Developer (Node.js / API Development) — Remote

Backend Developer

Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain robust backend systems, APIs, and microservices.
Design database schemas, write efficient queries, and optimize data storage.
Integrate third-party services and external APIs when needed.
Collaborate with frontend developers and designers to implement features end-to-end.
Ensure application security, data protection, and scalability best practices are followed.
Debug and resolve backend bugs, performance issues, and bottlenecks.
Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code.

Requirements:

2+ years of backend development experience, ideally building APIs for web/mobile apps.
Proficiency in
Node.js
and related frameworks like Express or Nest.js.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL — e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or similar) is a plus.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, and general backend security practices.
Ability to work independently and communicate well in a remote team.
