Job Description

As an IBM B2B Integration (Sterling Data Exchange) Delivery Architect, you would be responsible for the below:

Be a trusted advisor to the customer and guide them through the journey

Review and understand the customer as-is situation, pain points and specific needs/ requirements

Provide best-in-class solutions and subject matter expert (SME) assistance

Guide and implement strategy to transform customer business needs into a technically viable solution

Implement solutions within defined architectural guardrails, principles and framework

Work on Installation, Configurations and Customization of the solution

Support validation and deployment (On-premise or Cloud or Hybrid)

Analyze and resolve issues - working with Product Support, if needed

Assist with upgrades, migrations, health checks, performance testing and tuning activities

Develop the breadth and depth of expertise around SDE portfolio. Keep abreast of changes in roadmap, documentation, new roll outs, features

Help achieve Client Satisfaction and Customer Success measured via Quality of outcomes, Engagement, Client feedback and NPS

Be the central point of connect across various teams working on the solution

Act as a mentor to junior engineers and guide them on IBM B2Bi technology

As an experienced practitioner, you would be required to continuously learn and upgrade your skillset and apply your strong product/ domain/ solution/ technical/ consulting expertise with IBM Sterling B2B Integration (B2Bi) and Managed File Transfer (MFT) suite of offerings, to help customers worldwide - during solution definition, design, install and configuration, custom implementation, validation, go-live, warranty phases as well as support enablement, proof of concepts (pre-sales) and critical situations.
Required education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise # 5 to 8 years of strong hands-on experience using IBM Sterling B2B Integration and Managed File Transfer products and solutions:

IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (B2BI)

IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG)

IBM Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP)

IBM Sterling External Authentication Server (SEAS)

IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor (ICC/ CCM)

# Readiness and experience playing remote and/ or customer-facing SME roles within and outside India
# Experience supporting global delivery across multiple timezones with a strong customer success mindset and focus # Solution, Consulting and Domain skills

Strong Map and Business Process development

Experience with Analysis, Design, Implementation, Validation/Testing, Go-live, Post go-live assistance

Experience with Upgrades and Migrations, Deployments (on-premise or cloud, containerized)

Experience with Agile delivery practices and tools

Hands-on experience with Installation and Configuration, Environment setup, application of ifixes

Experience with engaging Product Support/ Engineering for raising and resolving product related issues

Ability to work independently as an SME, or under the guidance of Architect/Lead or any other IBM SME if assigned.

Programming familiarityJava, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, JavaScript, REST APIs

Operating SystemsLinux/RHEL, Unix, Windows & Scripting

EDI StandardsX12, EDIFACT, ODETTE, SWIFT, HIPPA etc in Financial Services, Healthcare etc domains

Communication protocols (FTP/SFTP/AS2 etc)

Certificates & Encryption (PGP)

# General skills

Excellent analytical, problem solving, articulation, client-handling skills coupled with project/ team leading abilities

Good communication skills - being proactive about weekly status, update on issues or defects

Prepare and provide client presentations including demos as per project requirement

Possess innovative and growth mindset. Keen to explore, learn new things and share/apply them to solve problemsWorks well with team.

# Knowledge and familiarity with:

Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI/IBM Cloud/Rancher etc)

Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

DevOps and CI/CD toolchain (Ansible, Azure DevOps, Chef)

Automated deployments on Cloud and Containers

AI-ML, Generative AI (LLM) and Python

Open Source Software/ tools

z/OS deployments
