Azure Technical Presales

Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Technical Pre-Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our sales efforts by demonstrating the technical value of our solutions to prospective clients. You will work closely with sales and product teams to understand customer needs and articulate how our offerings can address their business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical resource during the sales process, understanding customer requirements and aligning them with our solutions.
• Deliver engaging technical presentations and product demonstrations to various audiences.
• Explain the benefits and capabilities of our solutions, particularly those built on Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify technical opportunities and address client questions.
• Assist in preparing technical responses for proposals (RFPs/RFIs).
• Gather customer feedback and communicate it to internal product and engineering teams.
• Maintain a solid understanding of our product offerings and their underlying technologies.
• Stay informed about industry trends and relevant cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role.
• Experience in supporting sales cycles for software or cloud solutions.

• Microsoft Azure:

  Working knowledge of Azure cloud services.

• Azure PaaS Services:

  Familiarity with common Azure Platform-as-a-Service offerings (e.g., App Service, Functions, SQL Database).

• DevOps Concepts:

  Basic understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD concepts.

• Cloud-Native Concepts:

  Familiarity with concepts like containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and/or application modernization approaches.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Good problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Advantageous Skills & Experience

• Technical/Developer Background:

  Prior experience in software development, coding, or system administration is a plus.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solution Architect Expert).
