Description
Key Skills: Azure, Administration, Database Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance Azure database systems (SQL DB, Cosmos DB, Managed Instances, etc.). Support end-to-end data migration from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Azure using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or other tools. Ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of databases through monitoring, tuning, and proactive maintenance. Install, configure, and update Microsoft SQL Server and other Microsoft applications as needed. Implement and manage backups, replication, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) strategies in Azure. Collaborate with developers and architects to optimize database designs for applications and reporting needs. Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine database tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages. Prepare and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, connectivity, and security issues. Required Experience: 6 - 9 years of experience in database administration and engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instances, and Cosmos DB. Proven expertise in data migration, ETL, and integration using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and other related tools. Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell scripting, and performance tuning. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, and upgrades. Solid understanding of cloud architecture, security best practices, and Azure networking. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Qualifications: B. Tech in Computer Science.
