Azure Cloud Administrator

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Azure Cloud Administrator with 2 years of hands-on experience managing cloud environments. Candidates with exposure to the SAS platform on Azure will be preferred. The role involves managing day-to-day Azure operations, ensuring system availability, security, and performance across cloud-hosted services.

Key Responsibilities:Administer and monitor Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, resource groups).Support and manage SAS applications deployed on Azure infrastructure (if applicable).Configure and manage Azure services including Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure AD, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring strategies.Manage role-based access control (RBAC), policies, and network security configurations.Support patching, performance tuning, and routine maintenance of cloud environments.Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.Work closely with SAS administrators or users for performance and integration support.Maintain clear documentation of cloud resources, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Skills:2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.Strong knowledge of Azure VMs, networking, identity and access management, and storage.Familiarity with Azure governance, cost management, and security best practices.Basic scripting in PowerShell or Azure CLI.Monitoring experience using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts.

Good to Have:Exposure to SAS software on Azure, including installation, configuration, or support.Understanding of SAS components such as SAS Viya, SAS 9.4, or SAS Management Console.Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or relevant certification.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Bicep.Familiarity with hybrid cloud integration and DevOps pipelines.
