Axle Engineering Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities Conduct Engineering (EN) meetings and manage all related requirements such as Pre-EN and First Time Right (FTR). Coordinate with Manufacturing (MFG), Manufacturing Quality Assurance (MQA), Product Quality Assurance (PQA), and CDMM to conduct trials, facilities planning, and project planning for new Engineering changes. Plan facilities, tools, fixtures, budget, procurement, and implementation for new variant projects of Axle. Introduce new variants according to APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and design processes for new product/model implementation at the Axle Production Unit. Prepare CAPEX budget, manage procurement, installation, and commissioning of fixtures and tools for Axle projects. Study and analyze Product Change Request Notes (PCRN) and Product Design Release Notes (PDRN) for acceptance and closure as per shop checklists. Ensure Design Change Process (DCP) reviews and maintain process audit readiness for respective shops. Resolve line process, field, and quality concerns effectively and efficiently. Identify and implement process and quality improvements in existing Axle processes to enhance productivity, quality, and reduce costs. Prepare new or modified layouts to improve overall productivity of the Axle Production Unit. Design and implement facilities and equipment in compliance with PPAP guidelines. Validate Bill of Materials (BOM) for new projects and update BOM and routings for existing parts/axles. Review product drawings, identify critical characteristics of parts, and plan facilities accordingly.
