AWS OpenSearch Service Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize

  OpenSearch clusters

  , including indexing, query performance, and scaling.
• Integrate OpenSearch with

  AWS services

  such as IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, and Kinesis.
• Design and maintain

  data ingestion pipelines

  using Logstash, Fluentd, or OpenSearch Ingestion.
• Monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  
• Implement

  network security controls

  and configure endpoints for secure OpenSearch access.
• Develop and automate scripts using

  Java or Python

  for search and integration tasks.
• Collaborate on

  OpenSearch Dashboards

  using front-end technologies (Node.js, React, Angular).
• Utilize

  Terraform

  and

  Kubernetes

  for infrastructure automation and deployment.
• Integrate OpenSearch with

  CI/CD pipelines

  for continuous deployment and testing.
• Optimize

  JVM performance

  , storage, and query tuning to enhance efficiency.
• Contribute to

  system design

  and architecture for scalable search solutions.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of

  OpenSearch concepts

  (indexing, query optimization, cluster management).
• Hands-on experience with

  AWS ecosystem

  (IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, Kinesis).
• Proficiency in

  Java and Python

  programming.
• Experience with

  data ingestion tools

  (Logstash, Fluentd, OpenSearch Ingestion).
• Familiarity with

  Terraform, Kubernetes

  , and

  CI/CD pipelines

  .
• Experience with

  performance tuning

  and

  monitoring tools

  .
• Good understanding of

  networking and access control

  within AWS.
• Exposure to

  open-source contributions

  (OpenSearch or Apache Lucene) is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  
• AWS certification (Developer / Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer) preferred.
