Role Overview:

enterprise-scale data lakes and analytics platforms on AWS

high-volume, high-complexity insurance datasets

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build

  cloud-native data pipelines

  on AWS for insurance data platforms
• Develop and optimize

  ETL / ELT workflows

  supporting policy, claims, underwriting, and billing data
• Build and manage

  AWS data lakes

  with strong focus on data quality, lineage, security, and performance
• Translate business and analytics requirements into

  scalable, production-grade data solutions

• (For Lead roles) Own

  technical design, architecture decisions, code reviews, and team mentoring

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with

  AWS data services

  , including:

• Amazon S3 (Data Lake)

• AWS Glue (ETL / ELT, Catalog, Crawlers)

• Amazon Redshift, Athena

• Lambda, EMR

• Proficiency in

  Python and SQL

• Experience with

  data modeling

  , optimization, and performance tuning
• Hands-on exposure to

  Spark / PySpark

  is a strong plus
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as

  Airflow, AWS Step Functions

  , or similar

Experience Levels

• SE

  : 2–4 years of experience in data engineering or cloud data platforms

• SSE

  : 4–7 years with strong hands-on AWS data engineering ownership

• Lead

  : 7+ years with experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and leading teams

Domain Advantage (Nice to Have)

• Experience working with

  P&C insurance data domains

  (Policy, Claims, Billing, Rating, Underwriting)
• Exposure to

  US or global insurance customers

  is a strong advantage, though not mandatory
