AVP - External Spend Management

Role Overview: BNP Paribas India Solutions is seeking an experienced AVP - External Spend Management to lead one of the ESM pillars with a focus on driving value, ensuring compliance, and strengthening supplier partnerships. As an AVP, you will be responsible for managing risk mitigation frameworks, contract lifecycle management, IT products/services, regulatory governance, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic demand management: Proactively lead IT demands from CIB businesses, forecast in alignment with business priorities, and ensure consistency of purchases with business needs. - Contract and commercial governance: Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from sourcing to renewal and termination, ensuring commercial and regulatory excellence. - Supplier and performance management: Build strategic relationships with global ICT vendors, implement robust supplier performance metrics, and ensure risk-compliant partnerships. - Risk and regulatory compliance: Embed risk mitigation protocols into ESM activities, focusing on operational resilience and regulatory compliance (DORA). - People leadership and Transformation: Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performance team, collaborate with global counterparts, formalize procedures and operational models, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with TPRM, IT security, Legal, Compliance, and other functions to uphold governance and safeguard BNP Paribas interests. - Global stakeholder engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to global leaders and businesses, influence strategic IT sourcing decisions, and provide domain expertise. - IT expertise: Maintain deep market knowledge of IT hardware, software, cloud infrastructure, and managed services, and leverage insights to design sourcing strategies and vendor discussions. Qualifications Required: - 12 plus years of progressive experience in IT demand, sourcing, and risk management with at least five years in a leadership capacity. - Demonstrated success in managing global supplier ecosystems and complex IT contracts. - In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting the banking sector, including DORA, GDPR, and EBA regulations. - Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and executive stakeholder engagement. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. - Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant certifications preferred.
