As an Assistant Vice President - CMP at Barclays, your role involves enhancing existing processes, reporting, and controls to ensure flawless execution of BAU activities. Your responsibilities include driving efficiencies, process improvements, and standardizing processes across SBUs where possible. Barclays is not just anticipating the future; they are creating it. Key Responsibilities: - Experience in a Techno finance role with a strong focus on financial expertise, including financial data & statements analysis, planning, and forecasting - Proficiency in handling large data sets using Excel, Power Query, and other data tools - Hands-on experience in writing Python scripts and working knowledge of Power Query & Alteryx tool - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Sound understanding of financial statement analysis - Robust analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work with multiple teams to drive business outcomes - Strong stakeholder management skills Qualifications Required: - Understanding of Barclays Management and Functional Hierarchy - Ability to navigate Finance tools (e.g., SAP, CAP, BCE) will be beneficial - Understanding of Barclays Entity structure will be an added benefit - Highly energetic, productive, positive, and influential - Exceptional eye for detail and ability to distil complex problems into component parts - Great interpersonal and communication skills - Team player but self-reliant and able to work on own initiative In this role, you will provide financial expertise and support to specific business units or departments within the organization. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing business unit financial strategies, plans, and budgets, providing financial insights to business unit stakeholders, identifying opportunities for financial process improvements, and supporting business units in identifying and mitigating financial risks.
