Description
As a Collaboration Engineer, your role will involve implementing server-based products for telephony and collaboration technologies. You will need to have a strong understanding of Windows and Linux server configuration, as well as integration with Avaya IX Messaging and UC systems. Additionally, proficiency in server-based applications like Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and Skype is required. A solid grasp of TCP protocols used by these applications is also necessary. Key Responsibilities: - Gather information from customers and plan communications effectively - Implement and support IX Messaging and various UC technologies such as Avaya Aura Applications, Voice Mail Systems, Conferencing Systems, SIP integrations, and other U/C Applications - Implement and support all Microsoft dependencies needed for UC solutions including Windows Server, Hyper-V and VMWare, Active Directory, Certificate Authority, DNS, SQL, Skype, and Exchange - Coordinate the delivery and implementation of Linux Servers - Configure and implement core UC technologies including SIP gateways, Reverse Proxies, Session Border Controllers, and Hardware Load Balancers, with a deep understanding of SIP based technologies - Provide customer education on Administrator, Trainer, and Helpdesk knowledge transfers - Offer technical leadership in UC implementation to other SPS team members - Maintain industry education and certifications through training courses, internal labs, workshops, and 3rd party adjuncts as required - Act as an escalation point and assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for maintenance customers Desired/Preferred Qualifications: - Five or more years of experience in the professional services domain - Avaya IX Messaging design and implementation experience - Expert understanding of Avaya Aura products - Knowledge of VOIP and SIP protocol - Solid understanding of network design including T-1, ISDN, and messaging - Strong problem-solving and organizational skills - Excellent verbal and communication skills Please note that this is a Full-time, Contractual / Temporary position with a contract length of 12 months.
