Automation Test Lead

A) Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases using Selenium and other testing tools.
• Work closely with the development team to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and maintain test scripts, test plans, and other test artifacts such as test data, data validation, etc.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on improving software quality and testability.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve automation processes and enhance testing efficiency.
• Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.

B) Skill Set :

General :

• 7-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on both manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Manual Testing Skills:

• Requirement analysis and validation.
• Test case design and execution.
• Defect reporting and tracking.
• Functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Test planning and documentation.

Selenium Automation Testing Skills:

• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with test scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
• Understanding of automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
• Knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Ability to design and develop automated test scripts.
• Experience in creating reusable and maintainable automation scripts.
• Integration of automated tests into the build process.
• Troubleshooting and resolving automation script issues.
• Familiarity with Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
