Automation Specialist

As an experienced and client-focused Automation Engineer Pre-Sales, your primary responsibility will involve collaborating with clients to understand project requirements and propose customized automation solutions for home, commercial, or industrial spaces. You will be designing system architecture using platforms such as Lutron, Crestron, Control4, and other smart home automation technologies. Additionally, you will be preparing comprehensive technical proposals including BOQs, pricing estimates, technical drawings, and proposal documents. Your role will also require you to conduct site surveys to gather accurate data for system design and integration. You will play a crucial part in supporting the sales team by explaining technical concepts and system benefits to clients and consultants. Moreover, you will be coordinating with engineering and execution teams to ensure proper handover and implementation of the designed automation solutions. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field with at least 3-6 years of relevant experience in home or building automation design and pre-sales. Proficiency in designing and configuring smart automation systems using platforms like Lutron, Crestron, Control4, etc., is essential. You should also have the ability to create system schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using tools such as AutoCAD or Visio and understand smart device communication protocols like Zigbee, Z-Wave, and IP-based systems. In addition to technical skills, excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are crucial for this role. You should have strong attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and be self-motivated with strong problem-solving and client-handling abilities. Preferred qualifications include certification or hands-on experience with Lutron, Crestron, or Control4 systems, prior experience in smart home automation, AV integration, lighting control, or energy management, and familiarity with integration platforms, mobile app interfaces, and automation software tools.
