Job Title: Automation QA Engineer

Job Summary:

Automation QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
Execute automated regression, functional, smoke, and integration tests.
Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
Identify, log, and track defects, and support debugging efforts.
Contribute to building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as
Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, or similar
.
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Review test results and ensure proper logging and documentation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, Postman for API automation).
Familiarity with test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Mocha, etc.).
Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
ISTQB or relevant testing certification preferred.
