Automation Engineer – AWS

Role Summary

You will build, manage, and maintain automation solutions (test automation, infrastructure automation, DevOps automation) within AWS. You’ll support a remote-first setup with occasional on-site presence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks (test automation, infrastructure as code)
• Automate deployment pipelines across development, staging, and production
• Use AWS services (CloudFormation, CDK, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.) for automation
• Integrate with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Develop scripts in languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, security, monitoring
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)
• Collaborate with dev, QA, and operations teams
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation workflows

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of automation experience
• Strong experience with AWS and its automation tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Lambda, etc.)
• Experience in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and documentation skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience in performance testing, security automation

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per year
