AutoCAD Draftsman

Job Summary:

The AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for creating precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software, based on sketches, specifications, and design data provided by engineers or architects. The role requires a strong understanding of technical drawings, attention to detail, and adherence to drafting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD.
• Review and revise drawings according to project requirements and specifications.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Maintain and organize drawing files and documentation according to company standards.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Assist in preparing design presentations and documentation for clients.
• Support field teams by providing drawing clarifications and updates when required.
• Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in [Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Architecture] or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D); knowledge of Revit, SolidWorks, or other CAD software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, layouts, and detailing.
• Good knowledge of drafting standards, symbols, and conventions.
• Ability to interpret and convert sketches, conceptual designs, and specifications into detailed drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Experience:

• Entry-level: 0–2 years of experience for Junior Draftsman roles.
• Mid-level: 2–5 years of experience for Design/Drafting Engineer roles.
• Senior-level: 5+ years of experience with project and coordination responsibilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Internship
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
