Responsibilities

• Drive technical projects and provide leadership to your team members and project peers in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
• Manage a high-performing Water-Wastewater team s utilization and ensure team engagement. You will be acting as resource manager and will be assigning projects/tasks to the team members.
• Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering teams.
• Developing process and practices to deliver the water and wastewater projects and would lead the implementation of the same in the group.
• Carrying out and overseeing the functional, preliminary and detailed designs, and developing strategies with hands on design, leading to planning applications and construction drawings. You can expect to be active on a number of projects/client accounts at any given time. You will be supported by a team of technical staff of various grades.
• Internal client liaison, assisting in the preparation of fee proposals and financial control of projects when acting as a package project manager. It represents an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate.
• Ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, program, technical standards and meet QA, Sustainability and HSE requirements.
• Liaison with all T&I business line team members both in Canada and India.
• Collaborate with the T&I team leads globally in iCRC to promote and market team capabilities and services and maximize project utilization and billable work for the team.
• Bring digital experience and mindset to the team to promote and market digital capabilities and automation of Infrastructure designs, CAD work, Bentley, MicroStation, Civil 3D, BIM et

Key Competencies / Skills:

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 18 years of Civil Engineering experience. Out of which at least 12 years in Civil engineering design of pipelines, pumping stations and water wastewater treatment facilities.
• You should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of and experience in Civil engineering and including treatment design as well as a wide knowledge of the Development Industry.
• The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who will take on a Leadership role in project work, focused on delivery to the client and technical excellence. The role requires management of a number of projects and becoming involved in design at an early stage. The ability to plan and design deliverables against Canada Engineering standards for each stage of a project is a pre-requisite and training and guidance will be provided where necessary.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision.
• Experience with all aspects of water supply / treatment design (e.g. pumping station; intake works; conveyance; wet utilities, safety in design, Contract specifications/ documents, Quantities, constructability).
• Strong abilities to work with various software packages (i.e. Civil 3D, Revit, Microstation, CAD, Microsoft Office).
• Experience with technical writing, reports and presentation preparation, etc.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with the ability to effectively prioritize.
• Ability to estimate design level of effort, meet milestone schedule deliverables etc.
• Committed team player
• Excellent communication, English speaking and writing skills.

Desired Skills

• Demonstrated ability/experience in managing complex projects involving team members from multiple disciplines and geographies.
• You will be experienced in delivering design solutions fully compliant with appropriate codes of practice and specifications and be prepared to gain a thorough understanding of the relevant design codes.
• You will need to have good written and spoken communication skills and be aware of current and emerging technical and planning guidance on climate change and sustainability.
• You will have a good knowledge of planning, design, design software, technical consents, and contract procedures for the provision of water systems and utilities in new developments and regeneration projects and know how, if applied effectively, these skills combine to add value to a client s development proposal. You will also have a robust knowledge of the financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering both large and small projects.
• With an engineering consultancy background you will have a proven record in excellent technical delivery and team leadership.

Qualifications

• You will have substantial postgraduate (or equivalent) experience and either have been awarded (approaching towards) Chartered status (have equivalent international qualification).
