Associate Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a member of the WebMD team, you will be responsible for engineering interactive, responsive, high-traffic web applications within an enterprise environment. You will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to develop and maintain web applications and APIs using modern technologies. Additionally, you will participate in architectural discussions, enforce best practices, and contribute to global site initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Product Management team to understand user needs and requirements - Develop responsive, multi-screen web applications and APIs using HTML, CSS, VueJs, and NodeJS - Build and consume REST APIs with NodeJS and Express - Engage in development, testing, mentoring, code reviewing, documentation, implementation, and triage/maintenance of projects - Contribute to global architectural discussions and initiatives - Enforce best practices and group standards - Utilize version control software, preferably Git - Implement Agile development practices such as Scrum, Kanban/Lean, test-driven development, and continuous integration - Demonstrate knowledge and experience in running large public web applications - Ensure Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards compliance Qualification Required: - 2+ years of experience in developing web applications using Javascript, HTML, and CSS - Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs with Express and NodeJS - Familiarity with VueJS or similar front-end frameworks like React or Angular - Experience in developing responsive, multi-device layouts - Strong understanding of software development, debugging, and deployment tools - Knowledge of SOLR/Lucene queries, CommonJS/AMD modules, and accessibility standards Please note: For more details about WebMD Health Corp. and its subsidiaries, you can visit their website at www.webmd.com.,
