Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about procurement processes? At Ciena, we are looking for a Service Operations Procurement Specialist to work as an extension of the EMEA Service Operations team. This dynamic role involves managing procurement processes, interacting with regional stakeholders, and ensuring seamless operations for major programs across EMEA. Be part of a team that values precision, efficiency, and collaboration.
How You Will Contribute:
  • Manage and govern the EMEA Purchase Requisition mailbox on a daily basis.
  • Generate vendor Purchase Orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Oversee approval management to ensure timely payment to regional partners.
  • Check and approve invoices before payment processing.
  • Collate project and program revenue data for reporting purposes.
  • Create business reports suitable for upward reporting.
  • Perform administrative duties related to Service Ops Procurement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency.
  • Support quarter close activities to ensure operational success.
The Must Haves:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Graduation or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while setting functional goals.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to operate at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Commitment to on-time delivery, considering global time zones.
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to coordinate with and direct team members to achieve business results.
  • Strong client-facing skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience working in a team environment while also excelling independently.
