Associate QA Engineer, Software

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Light & Wonder, formerly known as Scientific Games, you will be responsible for debugging software products through systematic tests to ensure the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for the firm's products. Your role will involve various tasks such as developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing. You will also be analyzing and writing test standards and procedures, maintaining documentation of test results, and analyzing test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action. Furthermore, you will consult with development engineers in problem resolution and provide feedback in the preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing. Key Responsibilities: - Debug software products through systematic tests - Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and programs - Analyze and write test standards and procedures - Maintain documentation of test results - Analyze test results and recommend corrective action - Consult with development engineers in problem resolution - Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals - Ensure quality computer integration Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC) - Familiarity with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes - Experience in preparing test scenarios and writing test cases - Good communication skills - Execution of test cases and reporting defects - Experience in various types of testing such as black box, ad-hoc, smoke, sanity, regression, integration, and system testing - Problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of test management tools like JIRA and qTest - ISTQB certification would be an advantage - Effective communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work well in a team environment Light & Wonder is a global leader in cross-platform games and entertainment, with a team of 5000 creators worldwide and 1400+ creators based in India.
