Job Description

As a Supply Chain Planner at MillerKnoll, your role will involve scheduling the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and maintain minimum safety stock levels. You will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit. Your day-to-day tasks will include order management, managing deliveries, and assessing volume requirements against planning assumptions. Additionally, you will need to understand and manage risks to minimize the impact on the production schedule and take follow-up actions in case of material shortages affecting production. Key Responsibilities: - Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels - Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit - Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions - Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries - Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule - Utilize any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system in place to ensure accurate and up-to-date data - Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy - Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries are made on time - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time materials to the production line, avoiding disruptions - Support supplier meetings and negotiations to ensure demand for materials is met Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field - Proven experience in material planning, inventory management, or related roles - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems - Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders - Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively At MillerKnoll, you will be part of a company that is dedicated to designing for the good of humankind.
