Associate Planner

Role Overview: As a Supply Chain Planner at MillerKnoll, you will play a crucial role in scheduling the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and maintain minimum safety stock levels. Your responsibilities will involve planning, implementing, and evaluating processes for material delivery, managing order and delivery processes, and minimizing risks to production schedules. You will also be expected to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, develop supplier relationships, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels - Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit - Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions - Manage day-to-day order management and deliveries - Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule - Take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages affecting production - Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system to ensure accurate and up-to-date data - Monitor Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity and manage inventory accuracy - Minimize obsolete stock and reduce business liability - Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time materials delivery - Generate and communicate supplier material delivery schedules and forecasts - Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers - Support supplier meetings and negotiations to ensure material demand is met Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in supply chain planning or related field - Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning systems - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions - Proficiency in managing inventory and minimizing stock liabilities Note: MillerKnoll is dedicated to designing for the good of humankind and supports causes aligned with its values to build a sustainable, equitable, and beautiful future for all.,
