Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Associate External Operations Manager (Packaging) to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in packaging and operations management.

Roles and Responsibility

Manage all applicable finance activities, including Request for Proposal (RFP), Grants, Purchase Orders (PO), invoice approval, and tracking financial metrics.
Provide guidance to the CTSM for packaging design optimization and advise GCS Study Team on packaging designs to ensure optimal usage of available capacity and budget.
Coordinate material routing and inventory management of all drug products, primary packed materials, packaging components, and labels for packaging orders at external vendors.
Liaise with CTSM/SCM to create packaging orders based on project-specific requirements and interact with SCM and CTSM to flag potential issues or bottlenecks due to availability of PP/DP.
Ensure efficient material flow, minimizing waste and allowing flexibility to accommodate changing demand.
Manage deviations occurring at external vendors and escalate high-level issues/bottlenecks to relevant internal GCS stakeholders and external partners.
Participate or support external inspections and audits together with TRD QA (and GCP QA where applicable) to assess packaging contractor capabilities.

Job Requirements

A degree in science, engineering, or equivalent is required, along with fluent English language skills.
More than 2 years of practical experience in the chemical/pharmaceutical industry or more than 3 years of experience in the field of expertise.
Possess basic project management, good organization, and planning skills, as well as knowledge of HSE/GMP standards and processes.
Demonstrate problem-solving and idea generation skills, along with good presentation skills and fundamental leadership skills.
Exhibit good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
Experience in managing Order Alignment with GCS Study team members to coordinate packaging order preparation and resolve any packaging order-related questions proactively.
