Associate Engineering Manager

You will be joining our team as an Associate Engineering Manager, where your technical expertise, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities will play a crucial role in the success of our engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing a team of software engineers, overseeing the software development lifecycle, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your key responsibilities will involve fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within your team, defining technical requirements and project roadmaps in collaboration with product managers and designers, and driving best practices in coding, architecture, and design patterns to enhance system scalability and maintainability. Additionally, you will be mentoring and coaching engineers, ensuring adherence to agile development methodologies, and identifying and mitigating potential project risks. To excel in this role, you should have at least 7 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a leadership or managerial position. Proficiency in tech stack such as Java, Python, React, Node.js, MERN/MEAN is essential, along with experience in cloud technologies and microservices architecture. Your solid understanding of agile methodologies, proven ability to mentor engineers, and excellent problem-solving skills will be invaluable in driving innovation and continuous improvement within the team. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience in leading high-impact projects, exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization, as well as prior experience in hiring and building high-performing engineering teams.
