Associate Engineer-Soap Plant

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of Soap Making and Finishing Line equipment to ensure machine availability for production.
• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of utilities in the Soap Plant, including: Brine chilling plants (Operating temp: 26C, 7.5 TR to 12.8 TR), Water chilling plants (Operating temp: 8C, 50 TR to 63 TR), Cooling towers (100 TR to 600 TR)
• Control maintenance costs through regular review of spare parts consumption.
• Manage repairs, procurement, and tracking of spares for Soap Making and Finishing Line to ensure availability in coordination with stores.
• Drive budgeting and planning for all major repairs and reconditioning activities within approved capital projects.
• Plan, facilitate, and implement energy conservation initiatives within the plant.
• Execute annual shutdown maintenance of Soap Making and Finishing equipment, including maintenance of bag filling and sewing machines.
• Handle tool room activities, including lathe machine, shapers, and drilling machine operations within the workshop.
• Support and manage project expansion activities within the plant.
• Operate and maintain high-speed stampers (Mazzoni) and ACMA wrapping machines.
• Operate and maintain different types of boilers (gas-fired, oil-fired, solid fuel-based).
• Be well-versed with Thermic Fluid Heaters (10 lac Kcal to 25 lac Kcal), heat exchangers (shell & tube, plate type), and centrifugal and reciprocating pumps.
• Manage and guide technicians and contract personnel in the plant during shift operations, ensuring safety and operational discipline.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to Electrical, Boiler, and Environmental norms.

Safety Responsibility

• Shall be responsible for the Safety requirements of his work area and will ensure the Safety compliance. Knowledge / Skills Should be conversant with the Safety requirements, Safety Protocols and any specific Safety Related Laws and Regulations applicable to the work area and should have demonstrated the same.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical system
• Extremely Good Communication Skills
• Team Player/People Management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands on knowledge of Microsoft Excel, word and power point.
