Job Description:

As a UAV Flight Test & Maintenance Engineer, you will conduct field/in-house testing of Dronestechlab’s UAS products and provide system support. Your main responsibilities include UAV flight testing, validation of R&D and new product developments, and preparing drones for flight.

You will also perform timely maintenance, carry out flight tests, assist with field-testing activities, and collaborate with the System Engineering and Product Development teams during trials and client demonstrations.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience in integration, testing, and validation during R&D and new product development phases, with a focus on Fixed Wing VTOL & Multirotor.
  • Manage development and production flight test operations with an emphasis on safety.
  • Operate and maintain drone equipment, including performing pre-flight checks and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
  • Plan and execute drone flight missions for data collection, ensuring that all flight plans are compliant with regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Use specialized software to process and analyze the data collected by the drone, ensuring that the data is accurate and of high quality.
  • Coordinate with other engineering teams for the integration of complementary technologies.
  • Attend demos/trials for defence users as necessary.
  • Assist in product documentation and user manual development.
  • Provide training and field support to end-users of UAS/UAV products.
  • Be willing to work onsite and be able to travel as required for projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify damage or malfunctions in drones, both in-office and on-site.
  • Perform necessary mechanical and electrical repairs or replacements in-office and on-site.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with motors, propellers, sensors, and batteries in both locations.
  • Test and calibrate drones to ensure accurate performance in-office and on-site.
  • Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Other applicable engineering field.

Relevant Experience: 2 Year or More

Desired Skills & Characteristics:

  • Thorough understanding of UAV systems and subsystems.
  • Strong knowledge of Fixed wing VTOL UAV, and multirotor dynamics, control systems, and flight operations/Piloting.
  • Skilled in diagnosing technical issues and identifying root causes.
  • Capable of troubleshooting and implementing effective solutions.
  • Experienced in performing timely repairs, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Proficient in documenting system testing procedures and maintenance activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess expert knowledge of UAV systems, including component configuration and performance evaluation.
  • Familiar with UAS hardware, software, and sensor integration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
