Job Description

Practice Area: Direct Tax

PQE : 3-5 years

Major role and responsibilities

M&A and Direct tax advisory on complex issues such as merger, demerger, spin-offs, business transfer etc.
Preparation / review of transaction documentation
Conducting direct tax due diligence
International tax advisory with a specific focus on BEPS, MLI, GAAR, DTAA, domestic tax laws and FEMA/ regulatory issues.
Inbound and outbound structuring.
Treaty interpretations.
Carrying out research on varied income-tax issues including preparation of Case for Opinions for briefing senior counsels on complex direct tax issues.
Preparing deliverable in the form of slide-deck, opinion, note and memo.
Direct tax litigation assistance including drafting submissions and briefing senior counsels.
