Assistant Vice President, TTS Sanctions Operations

As an Assistant Vice President at Citi in Sanctions Operations, you will be part of a specialized team providing sanction control services. The Sanction Screening Hub was established in 2020 and has since expanded its services to cover most countries in APAC, while also supporting EMEA & NAM regions. Your role will involve ensuring operational activities comply with the Global Sanctions Policy and focusing on individual development within a conducive work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Support site / unit head with daily duties - Lead and manage the Sanctions Ops Team on a 24/7 basis - Run projects related to the CSIPL Hub / Sanctions - Achieve and exceed KPIs for the unit - Work with KPIs to address gaps and areas for improvement - Ensure a robust risk and control framework, collaborating with Risk & Control and ICRM Sanctions partners - Represent TTS Sanctions Operations on critical sanctions matters - Collaborate with internal functions to address compliance issues impacting TTS business - Handle global communication with business partners - Proactively identify process-related risks and lead in addressing them - Oversee the process, ensuring timely and accurate daily execution - Identify, develop, and retain key talent - Act as the senior management sanction contact point - Drive productivity, quality, automation, and efficiency projects - Maintain expertise in the Sanctions regulatory environment - Ensure timely reporting of all control requirements - Manage staff performance and drive continuous improvement Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/University / Post-Graduate degree or equivalent experience - Minimum 10 years of relevant Sanctions experience - Fundamental understanding of financial industry regulations - Effective communication, written, and analytical skills - People management & development experience - AI Knowledge (preferred) - Project management or process management experience - Global environment work experience - Ability to make decisions under time pressure and in crisis situations - Knowledge of Sanctions, Screening, Red-Flags review, OFAC review, PEP reviews - Experience in Financial Crime Compliance / Anti-Money Laundering / Compliance / KYC / Sanctions sector - Professional communication with all associates - Flexibility with working hours and days - Domain related certification(s), if available Joining Citi means becoming part of a global family dedicated to growth, community service, and real impact.
