Assistant Vice President, TTS Sanctions Operations

As an Assistant Vice President, Sanctions Operations at Citi, you will play a crucial role in the Sanction Screening Hub, which provides sanction control services globally. You will be responsible for leading the Sanctions Ops Team, running projects related to CSIPL Hub/Sanctions, achieving and exceeding KPIs, ensuring a robust risk and control framework, and representing TTS Sanctions Operations on critical matters. Your key responsibilities will include: - Supporting site/unit head with daily duties - Leading/Managing Sanctions Ops Team 24/7 - Running projects related to CSIPL Hub/Sanctions - Achieving & exceeding KPIs for the unit - Working with KPIs to address gaps and rooms for improvement - Ensuring a robust risk and control framework - Collaborating with internal functions to address compliance issues - Handling global communication with business partners - Identifying process-related risks and addressing them - Overseeing the process in a fast-paced environment - Ensuring timely and accurate daily execution - Managing staff performance and driving continuous improvement - Leading and driving employee engagement and career development To be successful in this role, you should ideally possess the following qualifications: - Bachelors/University/Post-Graduate degree or equivalent experience - Previous relevant Sanctions experience (equal to or more than 10 years) - Fundamental comprehension of financial industry regulations - Effective communication, written, and analytical skills - People management & development experience - AI Knowledge (preferred but not mandatory) - Experience in project management or process management - Ability to make decisions under time pressure and in crisis situations - Knowledge of Sanctions, Screening, Red-Flags review, OFAC review, PEP reviews - Experience in the Financial Crime Compliance/AML/Compliance/Sanctions sector - Ability to communicate professionally with all associates - Flexibility regarding working hours and days Additionally, you are encouraged to maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise in the Sanctions regulatory environment, ensure adherence to global policies, and drive standardizations for operational efficiency.
