Assistant Vice President (AVP)- Legal Entity Controller

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation of financial statements for legal entities in compliance with AASB and IFRS.
• Coordinate with external auditors for the statutory audit process.
• Prepare quarterly reporting packs for senior stakeholders and Group finance.
• Ensure adherence to Finance policy and processes while managing business units.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including board members and external auditors, to communicate key accounting issues.
• Continuously assess and improve processes, reports, and documentation to enhance operational excellence.
• Maintain data quality and integrity for regulatory and compliance reporting.
• Lead initiatives for process improvement and automation within the legal entity reporting process.
• Manage risks and controls relevant to the legal entity reporting process, ensuring compliance with internal risk policies.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills by managing a team of 5-6 colleagues and fostering effective communication with senior management, auditors, and regulators.

Skills Required:

• Expertise in legal entity subsidiary reporting and financial statement preparation
• Strong knowledge of AASB and IFRS standards
• Chartered Accountant qualification with solid accounting and reporting experience
• Project management and team leadership skills
• Experience coordinating with external auditors and senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
