Job Summary:

Assistant Store Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Help set and track store and individual sales targets, ensuring achievement of the same.
  • Assist in designing and executing marketing and BTL initiatives to boost footfall and conversions.
  • Carry out targeted BTL activities for increasing footfall and business.
  • Analyze sales reports to recommend actionable strategies for upselling, promotions, and new targeting.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Mentor, coach, and incentivize the team of 4 to 7 to meet performance and customer service standards.
  • Facilitate ongoing product and sales skill trainings, including updates on schemes and offers.
  • Create daily staffing plans, rosters, and manage staff schedules and leave to maintain business continuity.
  • Ensure low absenteeism and that frontline staff are always properly groomed to brand standards.
  • Supervise and develop team rewards and recognition programs to boost morale and retention.

Visual Merchandising & Store Ambience

  • Ensure the store is impeccably merchandised, including layout, product displays, and promotional zones.
  • Implement brand-aligned visual standards, POS materials, and monthly counter requirements.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Elevate customer experience by resolving escalations, delivering product knowledge, and ensuring smooth pre/post sales service.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships, understand preferences, and reinforce loyalty through proactive engagement.
  • Create and introduce in-store customer awareness and feedback forms to capture actionable insights.

Inventory & Financial Oversight

  • Assist in daily reconciliation of sales and cash procedures.
  • Coordinate stock audits and monthly inventory counts; promptly address discrepancies.
  • Support procurement, stock replenishment, and vendor coordination to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Compliance & Administration

  • Open and close the store ensuring secure cash handling and adherence to store policies.
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Prepare and track operational reports, sales trends, and team performance metrics.
