Role Overview

The Assistant Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth night operations of employee transport services at the Newtown site. This role requires a highly accountable, data-driven individual capable of taking quick decisions, managing deployment, driver performance, and client coordination. The role demands real-time problem solving and operational ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Ensure

    on-time vehicle deployment

    as per client requirement.
  • Monitor and manage

    real-time vehicle location & availability

    .
  • Handle

    building-wise cab allocation

    and maintain rotational fairness.
  • Allocate KM targets and ensure

    accurate KM allocation and tracking

    .
  • Maintain daily operational records and allocation data with accuracy.
  • Provide quick solutions during operational hurdles without dependency.

Driver Management

  • Lead and coordinate with drivers for shift readiness and duty compliance.
  • Conduct driver

    training, onboarding & continuous behavioural improvements

    .
  • Handle driver-related escalations, conflicts & negotiations calmly.
  • Ensure seamless communication & performance monitoring of drivers.
  • Manage and guide

    site supervisors and their task distribution

    .

Client Coordination

  • Maintain strong communication with

    client admins

    during operational hours.
  • Ensure timely updates, acknowledgement, and closure of issues raised.
  • Build positive professional relationships to ensure operational trust.

Data & Reporting

  • Maintain proper data logs for allocations, KM, duty hours & vehicle utilization.
  • Share accurate reports with MIS/data team regularly without delay.
  • Must be

    data-oriented

    and proficient in

    Google Sheets & basic analytics

    .

Decision Making

  • Handle on-ground challenges with

    ownership, accountability & solution mindset

    .
  • Provide

    quick operational decisions

    to avoid downtime or deployment delays.
  • Ensure every action aligns with service quality and client expectations.

Skills Required

  • Strong leadership & team handling ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure & make quick decisions.
  • Excellent communication and client handling.
  • Good command over

    Google Sheets, reporting & MIS coordination

    .
  • Calm, solution-driven & responsible at field level.
  • Preferably experienced in transport/operations.

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years in transport operations / fleet management / site management preferred.
  • Freshers with strong field understanding and readiness to take responsibility may also be considered.
